Book Review: Lonely Planet - Best In Travel 2015

After Christmas it always seems a good time to decide where to go on holiday next year. If you are stuck for ideas then the new Lonely Planet book, Best in Travel 2015 might be a good reference source.

The book lists the Top Ten countries to visit in 2015, gives you the best value travel destinations for 2015 (in Europe Portugal and Romania are apparently the best places to visit for good value), the Top Ten cities to visit in 2015 for events that are happening there. Milan looks tempting with the EXPO 2015 being held in the city. The EXPO is one of the best world fairs and next years theme will be food, quite apt for Italy!

The Swiss mountain resort of Zermatt celebrates the 150th anniversary of the first ascent of the mountain in 2015; further afield Toronto in Canada expects 250,000 visitors for the Pan American Games.

The book is laid out in easy reading style and is the perfect Christmas gift for the traveller in your life or for yourself if you need some ideas for where to travel in 2015.
