Ed Sheeran Supported By Saint Raymond - Leeds Arena

Saint Raymond is singer songwriter from Nottingham who has landed the support slot on the Ed Sheeran tour. He chose to perform his set with 3 other musicians: they worked together so well that they actually looked like a band.

He has some good guitar driven songs, in fact some of them sound like Big Country, a group which older readers might recall. His best songs he performed were This is the Time and Everything She Wants. He certainly can work a crowd too. A name to watch out for in 2015 when he releases his debut album.

Yorkshire born Ed Sheeran must be doing something right; he has the biggest selling album this year and a sell out arena tour. To see just one man and his guitar on stage and hold 12,000 peoples attention throughout shows how powerful his songs are.

He opens up his 2 hour set with I'm A Mess though it wasn't until Take It Back, the fourth song in that he really got into his stride. "If you leave this concert with your voice, I haven't done my job" he says "I want you all to sing out loudly at the top of your voices" he continues.

The audience did not need any encouragement: these songs are the soundtrack to a generation.

The video screens behind him project his image along with narrations to many of the sings. " I was born just down the road from here in Hebden Bridge" he shares.

Saving his best songs for the encore You Need Me, I Don't Need You, The A Team and finally Sing he leaves the fans excited and pleased. A night of experiencing one of the best UK singer/songwriters has produced recently.
