Gig Review: The Black Veil Brides

The Black Veil Brides
The Black Veil Brides
With 3 UK tours in just under 18 months The Black Veil Brides are making sure that the UK does not forget this American rock act.

The make-up might have gone and we can now see the band naturally but the music is as powerful as ever.

Lead singer Andy Biersack has a Union Jack flag hanging from his waist to impress the fans.

"It was 2011 since we last played Leeds" he informs the fans. The set list is mainly made up of their back catalogue but it is the newer material off the forthcoming album that impresses, showing a more commercial side to the band. Last Rites and Faithless sound very appealing on first hearing.

It would not be a rock gig without a drum solo and we get that of course.

The band might be easy to knock but they are very entertaining and a pleasure to watch and hear. They prance and preen about the stage. It is all the things you expect from a rock gig.

It was their best two tracks, Fallen Angels and In the End, that closed the gig and also the last night of their UK tour.
