Hallam FM Summer Live
Dappy
Every year Hallam FM holds its Summer Live event at the Sheffield Arena. With the summer school holiday's about to commence this was a great way for many to begin the start of their summer.
Foxes
With these types of gigs, the acts usually do 2 or 3 songs so if you do not like one act it will not be long before the next act appears on stage.
Lawson
Dappy seems to be doing alright with his solo career since NDubz split up. Look in the Mirror is one of his best tracks and with his bare chest and jogging trousers on he looked like he had just come from the gym.
Alesha Dixon
Foxes' career seems to have come to a halt at the moment. She has a habit of closing her eyes when she sings and she still does this though with tracks like Bodytalk, perhaps we can forgive her.
Lawson has some terrific pop tracks: they remind me of a cross between Mcfly and Rixton. All Roads Lead To You opens up their set. Jess Glynne was meant to be on the bill tonight but due to recent surgery she had to pull out of the gig. Instead Lawson covers her hit Hold My Hand! On their own hit Juliet they start off the track with the Dire Straights hit Money For Nothing. Great band and a great performance.
Alesha Dixon has bags of confidence and she walks on the stage like she owns it. Lets Get Excited sounded good whilst she also performed a track from her old group, Mis-Steeq and their hit Scandalous.
Nathan Sykes is starting a solo career after The Wanted split up. His debuts his new single, Kiss Me Quick - it sounds like it could be a hit. He had brought a band along too; it looks like his solo career could take off.
Nathan Sykes
You could be forgiven for thinking that Blonde were a girl group, in fact they are two DJ's better known for their recent hit, All Cried Out. With guest vocalist Henrietta they brought a dance vibe to the evening.
Blonde
Taio Cruz might have been away for a while but his set was a good way to end the night on a high. With hits such as Break Your Heart and Dynamite he left everyone with a smile on their face.
