Absurd Bird - Trinity Kitchen, Leeds

The Absurd Bird chain has now branched out and moved north opening up in Leeds Trinity Kitchen.

What they specialise in is Fried Chicken, Waffles and Moonshine drinks.

The serving area where you order your food from looks like a big carava. You order and your food is brought to your table. The service I found to be friendly and quick.

They also stock Yorkshire beers such as Kirkstall and beer brewed in Hull, Sheffield, Huddersfield and Driffield.

It's not the place you would go to for a special meal, it's more casual than that. The food was excellent but I found the surroundings you eat your meal in at the Trinity Kitchen to have an austere atmosphere. No one seemed to stick around for long.

Being a vegetarian my sister went for the Vegan Burger Tray which for £9.50 consists of a black bean and sweet potato burger, fries and a soft drink. The serving of fries was large enough for two people and the selection of 4 sauces was copious. The burger itself was very spicy which is ok as long as you like your food spicy.

The green salad was fresh but seemed to have too much dressing on it.

My Chicken Burger Tray, again at £9.50 consisted of a crispy fried chicken burger, fries and a soft drink. I thought the burger was tender and wholesome.

The Buffalo Chicken Salad at £6.95 was fresh and for me had just enough dressing on it.

They do not seem to do desserts as such only waffles, priced at £3.95 for two they were very tasty - make sure you leave some room for them if you decide to visit.

Absurd Bird is certainly unlike the other chicken burger and Portuguese chains and is offering something different in Trinity Kitchen.
