Album Review: Imagine Dragons - Smoke And Mirrors (Interscope Records)

Imagine Dragons are one of the biggest acts to come out of America in the last few years. They played at Leeds o2 Academy 18 months ago and return to the city in November to play the larger Leeds Arena.

The band does have a very distinctive style and you know it's them. The band appeal to the same audience as Coldplay, Train and Mumford and Sons.

The best tracks on the album are I Bet My Life, Gold and Shots, although it has to be said that if you didn't know you would think that I Bet My Life was Mumford and Sons. Elsewhere though they do have their own sound.

This is the sound of modern rock right now and it seems that their popularity will continue to grow with this album.

3 out of 5.
