Beach Clean At Fraisthorpe
photo by Bex Lynam, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust
Following the news yesterday highlighting the devastation along the Holderness coast and the tens of thousands of animals washed up on East Yorkshire’s beaches, alongside the wildlife, extensive marine litter has been carried to the shore after the recent storm.

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is organising a beach clean this coming Friday at Fraisthorpe, near Bridlington to help clear the beach.

Full event details are below. As many volunteers as possible are needed to help.

Event details:

Waves of Waste Beach Clean at Fraisthorpe

Meet at midday in the Fraisthorpe Beach Car Park (TA 1703 6281), YO15 3QL. The beach clean will head south from Fraisthorpe towards Barmston.

For more information please contact Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s Living Seas Centre on 01262 422103 or visit www.ywt.org.uk/whats-on

There is no need to book, those able to help are asked to just turn up on the day and to stay as long as they are able to. Litter pickers will be provided but people are asked to bring work gloves.
