Blink 182 - Castlefield Bowl, Manchester
Graham Clark, Features Writer
Californian 3 piece Blink 182 had to move their Manchester gig to the Open air Castlefield Bowl in the city due to the arena still being closed.
Unfortunately they did not bring the Californian sunshine with them: just before the band came on stage the rain arrived but that did not stop everyone enjoying the gig.
"We are very happy to be here" announces bass player Mark Hopus as the trio open up with Feeling This. The band have been away for a while but as soon as they step on stage it is like they have never been away.
It is a spectacular gig with huge flame throwers and a good lighting set.

The big tracks follow such as She's Out of Her Mind and Sober.
"We are going to perform the next track completely different, it is an historic moment, something you might want to tell your grandchildren about" they announce. It is a big build up as they perform Happy Holiday, completely in the dark.
Los Angeles closes the gig but it is not long before they are back on stage to a resounding response to All The Small Things.
A fine return.
