Book Review: Rock Stars Stole My Life - Mark Ellen (Hodder)

Mark Ellen is a music journalist who worked on NME, Smash Hits and was editor at The Word before it folded 2 years ago. He was one of the co-founders of the magazine Q. He was one of the presenters on TV at Live Aid in 1985 and also co-presented The Old Grey Whistle Test.

His book tells his eventful journey over the years from his memories of Live Aid to going on tour with U2 in America and a meeting a nearly naked Lady GaGa and then sharing a flight with Rihanna.

Reading the book you can tell that Ellen has a love for music and his passion is still intact. The book is full of engaging stories that make you want to keep reading and not put the book down. A very enjoyable read.

Ellen will be at St Georges Hotel, Harrogate at 4pm on Sunday 13 July to talk about the book with Mark Billingham.
