Byron Hamburger's New Cheesemas Feast
Graham Clark, Features Writer
My friends in London always enthused about Byron's saying that the burgers were some of the best they have tasted.
When the chain arrived in Yorkshire in Leeds and Harrogate I visited the latter restaurant at the end of last year and although the restaurant itself felt a little sterile in design the food was great as far as burgers go.
In time for Christmas the restaurant has launched some new dishes on the menu.
The new starter Holy Cheeseballs at £5.25 consists of Mac and Cheese Bites topped with Buffalo glaze, Byron cheese sauce, spring onions and crispy bacon. I found them to be very moreish, but they were very rich and you only need a few, so better to share.

For that price you get a substantial burger served with Barber's cheddar and Red Leicester, Byron cheese, Grana Padano crisp, red onion, shredded iceberg, smoked tomato ketchup, Grana Padang aioli with a jug of Byron cheese sauce - in other words you have got to be a cheese lover!
Even with all this cheese you could still taste the meat in the burger, although I think it didn't need the cheese sauce as it was cheesy enough.
The best deal though is to get The Cheesemas Feast where you can have the Fromagemas burger, any side and a drink for £16.95.
Not included in the deal are desserts. I tried the Chocolate Brownie served with ice cream and homemade chocolate sauce - a good helping that rounded off a tasty, filling meal.
