Cliff Richard - Stronger Thru The Years (Parlophone)
Graham Clark, Features Writer
Sir Cliff has concentrated on releasing albums recently of cover versions of old rock n roll songs, so it comes as a surprise to see him release this collection of love and reflection songs from his career.

The album starts off with probably the best pop song he has recorded in years - Stronger Than That. Spread over two CD's a lot of these tracks he still sings live.

Also by Graham Clark...
Cuckoo, Leeds
Shrek - The Musical, Palace Theatre, Manchester
Def Leppard Return To Sheffield For Homecoming Gig
Glitterbox Arrives In Leeds At Church
Cinderella, Birmingham Hippodrome
Miss You Nights might not be his biggest hit, but it is one of his most requested. Living Doll takes the album back to the start of his career as does The Young Ones and Summer Holiday.

CD2 has his big comeback hit from 1976, Devil Woman and then his career took off again in 1980 with Carrie. Suddenly, the duo he performed with Oliva Newton-John on the soundtrack to the film Xanadu is also included here.

Best of all though is his 1979 summer hit, We Don't Talk Anymore which was a deserved Number 1.

A good collection that will satisfy any Cliff fan.

I give the album 4 out of 5
