Google Digital Garage Comes To Town
The Department for International Trade (DIT) has partnered with Google for a series of Google Digital Garage workshops for businesses across Yorkshire. Google Digital Garage aims to help SMEs develop web knowledge, grow their online business and increase export potential.

The workshops will offer small business free face-to-face digital skills and e-commerce coaching. Topics covered will include the best ways to reach new customers online, how to use social media for business and understanding Google Analytics.

Following the sessions, businesses will have the opportunity to have 1-2-1 discussions with digital representatives from Google and meet International Trade Advisers from DIT who can offer expert advice to support business growth and development.

The workshops will aim to increase skills and encourage business growth across Yorkshire and the Humber.

DIT Regional Director for Yorkshire and the Humber Mark Robson said: "Whether you've already started selling online, or you're ready to expand into new markets, this series of workshops will provide you with the knowledge you need to successfully reach new global customers.

"DIT in Yorkshire and the Humber is here to assist businesses from across the region unlock their potential. We hope that those who attend the workshops take the opportunity to speak with our International Trade Advisers and International e-Commerce Adviser about what DIT can do to help them on their exporting journey."

With the number of social media users worldwide estimated to grow to 2.95 billion by 2020, and a rapidly increasing digital population, there has never been a better time to grow and build online presence.
