Frances is set to release her debut album, Things I've Never Said on the 17 March. This 23 year old singer songwriter from Newbury, Berkshire has collaborations on her album from Greg Kurstin (Adele), Jimmy Naples (Sam Smith, Alicia Keys) and Howard Lawrence (Disclosure).
She was nominated too for both the BBC Sound of 2016 and the BRITs Critics Choice Awards. On the eve of her debut album being released I asked her about her career so far.
I HAVE LISTENED TO YOUR NEW ALBUM, IT DOES REMIND ME OF ELLIE GOULDING A LITTLE?
I really like Ellie Goulding and I hope that she releases a new album soon. Adele is another of my favourites. When I was growing up my mum used to play a lot of Motown so you will hear the soul influences too on the album.

Things I've Never Said is a line in one of the songs that I wrote and it made sense to call the album after that.
YOU HAVE WORKED WITH GREG KURSTIN WHO HAS WRITTEN WITH ADELE ON YOUR NEW ALBUM?
That's right, we only did the one song though, Say It Again. We wrote the song together although I wrote the chorus on the morning that we were meeting. He was amazing to work with and he put me at ease. The rest of the album though I produced myself.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT ALL THE DANCE MIXES OF SOME OF YOUR SINGLES AS THEY ARE VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE ORIGINAL VERSION?
I think it is a great idea as it puts my music onto another platform and let's people discover me who would not otherwise do so. I approve each dance mix though, I like to have control.
YOU HAVE BEEN NOMINATED TOO FOR VARIOUS AWARDS?
The BRIT's Critics Choice Awards was good, although I did not go to the Awards show this year, I watched it at home. It was a great show, it showcased the best of British talent.
HAVE YOU A TOUR COMING UP?
I have a full UK and European tour coming up that starts on 1 April in Dublin, which I am looking forward to very much. I then go to play some gigs in America. I have a new single out at the moment, Grow. Radio Aire 3 up in Yorkshire are playing the song. It is really exciting when I hear the DJ introduce my songs on the radio. I still have not got used to it. It is weird hearing myself on the radio!
DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME WAS PLAYED AS PART OF CHANNEL 4's STAND UP TO CANCER FUNDRAISER
It was all for a good cause and there was so much energy there when I performed the song. It is a cause that I wanted to become involved with.
Things I've Never Said is released on 17 March on Cookie Records/Universal Music
