Tamara Gachechiladze is being hailed online as this year's Conchita of the Eurovision Song Contest. Armed with a song that the producers of James Bond should take note of, and a vocal that would make Shirley Bassey proud, she is a compelling live performer who grabs your attention effortlessly. We caught up with her to find out how she is feeling about the impending contest.

For those not in the know, tell us a little about yourself...

I am Tamara form Georgia. I have sung since my very early childhood. My father is a famous musician and Head of the Georgian State Orchestra. I love singing most of all in my life.

What appealed to you about entering Eurovision?

This was my dream for some years. I think that this is really very prestigious to represent your country and sing on a such big stage in front of huge audience.

How did you feel when you found out you would be representing Georgia?

I was shocked and could not believe it from the very beginning. Of course I was very happy.

Your song is called Keep The Faith, tell us about it..

This is a song for everybody to give hope. I want to tell all the people do not be upset and never give up. Just go on walking and moving, it does not matter what happened with you. Life is going on anyway and everybody should follow it.

What is the best feedback you have received as yet?

I think that everybody likes the main idea of the song. I see only positive feedbacks.

Have you listened to your competitors yet? If so, which is your current favourite?

Yes, sure. They are very strong musicians all of them. Of course I have favourites but will not say now.

Have you spoken to any past entrants? If so, what advice have they had?

Be who you are and act on the stage as you usually act.

What is your favourite Eurovision entry of all time?

Loreen in Baku.

What do you hope to achieve with your appearance at Eurovision?

My dream is to get better position than the Georgian past entrants. Let's see...

What is success for you in the contest?

To be in Top 5.

Lastly, if you could duet with one past entrant, who would it be?

If you mean Georgian entrants then will tell you that all of them are my friends and would gladly duet with all of them. If you mean other countries I think that would be with Conchita.
