Kylie Minogue To Play Scarborough Open Air Theatre Next August

The first headliner to play Scarborough Open Air Theatre has been announced. International pop star Kylie Minogue is to play a concert in the town on Thursday 1 August 2019.

This is another coup for Scarborough and the Open Air Theatre after Britney Spears appearing there in the summer. The concert will see Kylie performing a series of career spanning hits from her extensive back catalogue with the gig destined to sell out quickly.

Her last album, Golden was released earlier this year and reached Number 1 on the UK album charts. The album saw a change of musical direction for her with a country influence coming to the fore. The singles already released from the album are Stop Me From Falling, Dancing and Golden. The album has spent 20 weeks on the album charts and is the best selling 2018 release by an international female artist.

The Leeds concert in October was a slice of pure pop with a maturity that comes from 30 years in the music business.
