Local Children’s Charity Kick Off Christmas With Reindeer Run
On the 26th November, the childhood cancer charity, Candlelighters will be hosting their first ever Reindeer Run for children aged 16 and under at Lotherton Hall, as part of their annual Christmas Experience.
The event will be a 1k fun run or walk on the enchanted, twinkly paths of the Twelve Days of Christmas Woodland Walk. The trail leads participants past the chatting French Hens, through the magical Five Gold Rings, and past the Nine Ladies Dancing! The route will then proceed on past the enchanted Fairy Dell and through the formal gardens before returning down the final path to the finish line.
Entry to the race is £3 which includes entry to Lotherton Hall, Candlelighters cheer sticks and reindeer antlers complete with jingle bells and a flashing nose! Once the child has completed the run, they will receive a certificate of achievement, hot chocolate and of course will have the chance to explore the rest of the Christmas wonderland at Lotherton Hall!
Community Fundraiser Rebecca Swithenbank said, “Everyone at Candlelighters is so excited about our first reindeer run and hope that lots of children will want to enter and take part! It is going to be a fantastic way to kick off Christmas and we can’t wait to get in the festive mood”.
