NXT Leeds Report
Thomas Feaheny, Boxing Correspondent
NXT came to Leeds for the first time in the event at the First Direct Arena.

This event also saw people who were due at the Manchester show that was cancelled due to the recent attacks attend, and a minutes silence was impeccably observed before the show.

The main event saw Bobby Roode beat Drew McIntyre to retain the NXT Championship, after hitting a DDT but the fans went home happy with McIntyre lifting the belt high above his head and interacting with fans afterwards.

After the show got underway Kassius Ohno defeated Scotland's Wolfgang, Ruby Riot beat Nikki Cross and in a triple threat match Aleister Black beat Andrande "Cien" Almas and Eric Young.

WWE in Sheffield Arena
There was plenty of UK talent on show and three of those members in Jack Gallagher, Mark Andrews, and Trent Seven gained victory over Tino Sobotelli, Riddick Moss, and Lars Sullivan, in a fun match that the fans certainly enjoyed.

One of the biggest reactions of the night went to the WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne after he defeated Roderick Strong, in a back and forth contest.

The NXT Tag Team Championships were also defended and retained by the Authors of Pain who beat Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe. While Asuka and Aliyah beat Peyton Royce and Billie Kay.

The WWE will be back in Leeds in November and expected to be a near sell out once again.
