New Toby Carvery, Keighley

The Toby Carvery in Keighley on the Keighley by-pass has always been a popular place. The pub/restaurant recently re-opened after a big re-fit.

They seem to have created more restaurant space to dine in and I get the impression that the food is now the mainstay of the business.

One of the main reasons why it is so popular is because of the Four Roast Carvery which is a bargain at £6.99 Monday to Saturday.

The meat is carved in front of you, then you help yourself as many times as you like to the potatoes and vegetables. Everything is piping hot and because it is so busy the turnaround time from being cooked to served is very short.

The Roast Gammon was tender, the Roast Turkey succulent and the Roast Pork of a good quality. I found though the Roast Beef to be a little fatty. Good selection of different gravy too.

The puddings seem to be quite popular. My strawberry sundae at £3.19 was good value and plentiful.

This Toby is so popular that you have to book at peak times, or face up to a 20 minute plus wait.

The staff on the Carvery itself were very friendly and helpful and all the other staff appeared friendly too. It looks like the Toby will continue to be even more popular following its refurbishment.
