Olly Murs - You Know, I Know (RCA Records)

He has been one of the most successful contestants from the X Factor and Olly Murs' success looks to continue with this new album. Nearly 10 years on he still continues to deliver.

There are some big names involved in the making of the album including Ed Sheeran, Snoop Dogg, Shaggy and Nile Rodgers.

The single charts might be full of ballads and dire R&B tracks at the moment but Murs has thankfully decided not to go down that route and do what he does best - pure uplifting pop. In dreary November it makes you think of sunnier days with most of the tracks on the album.

Lead off single Moves featuring Snoop Dogg has been a Top 5 airplay hit yet infuriatingly has not translated into a Top 20 sales hit. Built over a seductive loop the track would have suited Justin Timberlake to a tee but with Murs it shows a maturity in his work and is a perfect introduction to the album. Co-written with amongst others Ed Sheeran the track is a pop nugget.

Shaggy brightens up the title track of the album You Know, I Know with Murs getting a co-write in the songwriting credits. Feel The Same is one of the best tracks on the album: a funky pop track with a touch of Daft Punk with guitars by Nile Rodgers, the song again shows a deeper mature sound for Murs.

Take Your Love sounds like Jonas Blue and the track will probably be a single at some point, whilst Maria has a Latin vibe, with a bit more tinkering it could be a big hit next summer.

He has a good team around him and although it is a team effort his personality shines through on the album.

I give the album 3 out of 5
