Oman Opens Its Doors To The Adventurous Over 50’s
One Traveller, the family-run tour operator solely dedicated to offering escorted holidays and cruises around the world to mature, single travellers aged over 50, has added Oman to its exotic destinations.
‘The Sultanate of Oman’ experience is a 13-day adventure which promises to reveal the glories of nature within the second largest country on the Arabian Peninsula. With the Wahiba Desert and the Al Hajar Mountains as the backdrop, guests will travel for three days in a 4x4 land cruiser, sleep under the stars in Oryx Desert Camp and cool down in Bimmah Sinkhole and Wadi Dayqah Dam.
Travellers can explore the country’s archaeological sites, forts, castles and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, with highlights including a visit to Wadi Ghul, the deepest canyon in the Middle East and shopping in Nizwa Souk, a marketplace lined with stalls and silversmiths creating boutique gifts.
One Traveller has seen a rise in over 50s looking for more adventurous, experiential holidays, as well as a shift in travel from Europe to further afield, resulting in a growing demand to explore off the beaten track destinations.
Departing from Manchester and London Heathrow, the holiday includes international and internal flights and 11 nights’ accommodation in four and five star hotels, in double room for sole occupancy and one night in a desert camp.
The tour includes the exclusive and dedicated services of a carefully selected One Traveller tour manager and expert local guides (4x4 driver-guides on three days), a personal audio guide, all breakfasts and evening meals and nine lunches.
Prices start from £3,990 for tours departing in March and November 2019.
