Preview: Bingley Music Live, Myrtle Park, 4-5 September 2015

The gates open at 3pm on Friday 4 September for what is dubbed the last main festival of the summer.

Now firmly established as one of the main music festivals of the summer, Bingley Music Live takes place in the picturesque grounds of Myrtle Park, Bingley.

With the concerts finishing each day at 0930pm the festival is accessible via public transport.

The festival kicks off on Friday with the original ska pioneers The Beat, who can forget the classic hit Mirror in the Bathroom? Forming from the ashes of indie hero's The LAs, Cast were part of the Brit pop era and will no doubt be performing all their hits. The headliners on Friday are Manchester survivors, James who played a sell out gig at Leeds Arena last year. They seem to have rediscovered themselves on their last album. Headlining on the Discovery stage is Rae Morris whose debut album was released to good reviews earlier this year.

Saturday sees Welsh rockers Funeral For A Friend taking to the stage. Ella Eyre releases her new album this week and she makes an appearance at the festival. She first shot to fame by singing on the Rudimental hit, Waiting All Night.

Indie group Ash are seeing on the bill before Labrinth takes to the stage. I saw him perform at the V Festival this summer and his set was one of the best of the weekend, with his big hit Earthquake sending tremors through the site! Deaf School headline the Discovery stage.

Sunday sees former New Order bass player, Peter Hook perform with his group The Light before Yorkshire's very own Embrace entertain their Yorkshire fans. Idlewild are next up before another Welsh group Super Furry Animals close the festival. Scott Matthews headlines the Discovery stage.

With a varied line up there is something for every music fan.

Weekend tickets costing a reasonable £49 are available from
