Progress At Bradford's St Georges Hall
Auditorium at Stalls level
Auditorium looking down from the Circle
Grand Tier

Work is progressing at a pace on the restoration of Bradford’s Grade II* listed St George’s Hall, which is part funded by a £1.5m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Inside the venue, where possible the front-of-house areas have been increased and will be decorated sympathetically to suit the heritage of the building.

Improved sight lines and comfort of the seating in the auditorium is progressing, whilst ensuring the world class acoustics are unaffected.

Councillor Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Healthy People and Places, said:

“The refurbishment of St George’s Hall will ensure that this heritage building is maintained and brought up to standard as a top class venue adding to the fantastic cultural offer in Bradford. Work is progressing well and I’m sure once complete will secure the building for future generations of audiences.”
