The longest running family restaurant in Leeds is Salvo's in Headingley.
Now in its 42nd year it has been included yet again in the 2018 Good Food Guide.
A mainstay of the guide since 1984, the restaurant is now run by John Danmore and his brother Gip.
Opened in 1976 by Salvatore Dammone the restaurant continues to thrive with his two sons at the helm.

Since then many independent restaurants have struggled to keep up with the pressure from the chains but Salvo's appears to have stood the test of time.
Following a £250,000 redevelopment in 2017 John Danmore explained:
"Leeds independent restaurants are ideally placed to provide spark and innovation that today's discerning diner requires. Yorkshire folk are canny too and less likely to be bamboozled by shiny restaurants that provide glitz but little technical flair".
