Something Fishy In Northern Wales!
Palé Hall, the only five-star hotel in the heart of North Wales, has launched a new fishing experience targeting northern angling enthusiasts.
Situated on the edge of Snowdonia, Palé Hall is an AA Five Star, Relais & Chateaux destination luxury country house hotel renowned for fine dining and luxurious living.
Now, both novice and experienced fishermen can taste the highlife after a day’s angling in some of the most stunning backdrops Wales has to offer.
Billed as a destination for quiet retreat, Palé Hall, is a Victorian mansion located in the tranquil Dee Valley and has an idyllic woodland garden rolling down to the banks of the river.
And it is now taking full advantage of its natural surroundings to attract country pursuit enthusiasts by offering coarse fishing on the great Bala Lake for perch, pike and roach, and fly fishing for wild brown trout and salmon on small mountain lakes and streams, all within eyeshot of the main house.
The River Dee is renowned as one of the finest grayling rivers in Europe, having played host to several high-profile international events in recent years. Both grayling and brown trout are regularly caught on guided wild fly fishing packages that can be arranged upon request through the hotel. Salmon and sea trout are also present seasonally on the River Dee and offer a great sport for the more accomplished angler.
Palé Hall’s guided wild fly fishing package is led by a local and knowledgeable ghillie, Steve Wood. From the beginner who wants to learn the basics to the experienced angler who wants a memorable fly fishing experience in this area, lessons, tuition and guidance can be arranged for all levels of fishing.
This new experience is part of the hotel’s bespoke guest offering, which provides visitors with several ways to discover North Wales. As well as fishing, guests can also enjoy other activities arranged by the hotel, including birds of prey experiences, water sports, cycling and shooting parties, the perfect way to get back to nature at Palé Hall.
