Status Quo - Aquostic II - That's A Fact

Status Quo released their first acoustic album 2 years ago and it was one of their most successful ones of their recent albums. Now they release a follow up which includes acoustic versions of In The Army Now, Hold You Back, Dear John and Roll Over Lay Down which are reinvented in their new style.

It does work allowing the songs to stand up in their own right. There are two new tracks too on the ordinary version of the album. There is also a deluxe 25 track edition of the album along with a limited edition double vinyl version.

This looks like the way forward for the band now as the tour in December will probably be the last electric tour they will do. Guitarist Rick Parfitt is currently recuperating from ongoing medical issues following a heart attack in Turkey two months ago. The band are hopeful of a speedy recovery and are looking forward to welcoming him back into the fold, so to speak.

I never thought I would hear acoustic versions of these well known Quo tracks but they do sound refreshing.
