Tears For Fears - Rule The World (Virgin)
Tears for Fears have been one of the most influential acts to come out of the UK over the last 30 years and have influenced acts from David Guetta to Kanye West. Their songs have been covered by acts as diverse as Lorde to Disturbed.
They recently played a sell out gig at the Royal Albert Hall in London. This new compilation covers their career and also includes two new songs.
Probably the song everyone knows them for, Everybody Wants To Rule The World, starts off the album. The track captures them at one of their finest moments. One of the new tracks, I Love You But I'm Lost sounds to me like an Erasure track.
The success of the 1984 album, Songs From The Big Chair which included the hits Shout and Mothers Talk was on a worldwide scale. The follow up album, The Seeds of Love was over 4 years in the making - many thought that the act had split up but the wait was worth it.
Also by Graham Clark...
Billy Idol, Manchester Apollo
Lionel Richie, Scarborough Open Air Theatre

Let's Rock Leeds! - The Retro Festival
Songs from the start of their career such as Pale Shelter, Change and Mad World are also included on this comprehensive compilation along with later tracks such as Raoul and the Kings of Spain.
The other new song contained here is Stay - a slow ballad which shows them in a new light.
A new album is coming next year. The recently announced UK tour has already sold out in many cities. A Leeds date has just been added at Leeds Arena on 27 April. Alison Moyet is the support act.
I give the album 4 out of 5
