The 19th Obsession Gastronomic Festival Returns To The North

Taking place over 17 nights starting on Friday 19 January, the Obsession Gastronomic Festival will be held at one of the north's top luxury country house hotel - Northcote (Lango, near Blackburn).

The event will see 18 chefs flying in from around the globe to cook at Northcote. The Michelin starred chefs include Cristina Bowerman from Glass Hostaria in Rome, Marc Fosh from Restaurant Marc Fosh in Mallorca and 2018 Michelin Young European Chef of the Year - Niall Keating from The Dining Room at Whatley Manor, Wiltshire.

Some of the evenings have already sold out, including the night when Norbert Niederkofler from Restaurant St Hubertus in Cassiano, Italy cooks for the guests at Northcote.

On each night guests will enjoy a Louis Roederer Brut Premier Champagne reception including canapés, followed by a 5 course menu with coffee and petit fours. Tickets cost £140.00 per person.

The first chef to appear on the opening night is Lisa Goodwin-Allen, Northcote's executive chef who took over the kitchen at the one starred, four rosette property last year.

They appear to have built up a very loyal following that seems to grow year upon year. The festival has also raised £120,000 over the years for Hospitality Action for people who work in the hospitality industry who have fallen on hard times.

It sounds like an unparalleled experience and worth crossing into Lancashire for!
