The Christians And Hue And Cry Play Wakefield Gig
Graham Clark, Features Writer
Two acts from the 80's are playing a gig at Warehouse 23 in Wakefield. You probably first discovered The Christians via one of the early appearances on The Tube.
The vocal group from Liverpool went on to have gigs such as Forgotten Town, Ideal World and their version of the Isley Brothers hit, Harvest For The World. Still lead by Garry Christian who has that silky soulful voice, he always has some funny one liners in between songs.
Brothers Patrick and Gregory make up Hue and Cry, the duo will be performing as a two piece at the Wakefield gig. The act had a big 80's hit with Labour of Love, although the duo are still recording today.
If you like your 80's music then this is a gig that will be ideal.
