The Vengaboys, Manchester Arena
Graham Clark, Features Writer
Back in the late 90's The Vengaboys were seldom out of the singles charts across Europe. The act have never really stopped touring: it is an high energy show and it is hard not too get drawn in with the infectious atmosphere.

They come from the era of Dr Alban, Sash! and Aqua when pop was catchy, fun and most of all colourful.

The track everyone associates with the four piece Boom Boom Boom Boom! opens and closes the set.

You forget how many hits they have had such as Uncle John From Jamaica and Shalala Layla. "Are you ready to get on the Vengabus?" They ask as they play We Like To Party (The Vengabus). It was not long before a trip to Ibiza with the track "We're Going To Ibiza"

The streamers fire out from the front of the stage as Up and Down gets the party bubbling. By the time Boom Boom Boom Boom! had concluded their set it was like Christmas had come early for Manchester.
