Energetic Yorkshire families are being invited to ‘Go French’ by one of the country’s leading providers of family activity holidays.

Family Adventure Holidays has devised a French package to coincide with the UK’s 2018 Easter and summer school breaks.

The Opal Coast Easter Adventure, a three-night, self-drive break, based near the English Channel coast in northern France, offers families the opportunity to bond through a programme of fun activities combined with some gentler pursuits.

High-energy thrills include sand-yachting on the beach at Boulogne-Sur-Mer, where participants aged eight to 88 will learn how to sail along the sands with just a few minutes’ instruction.

Younger children are invited to meet penguins, sea-lions, turtles and sharks in the French National Sea Centre, Nausicaä, whilst families can also put their heads together and design a remote-control racing car, make catapults, burn excess energy on an assault course or enjoy the gentler pursuits of Easter cookery, egg hunts or evening games.

The break is based at the three-star Hotel Moulin aux Draps, set in 22 acres of grounds just outside Boulogne.
