Esquires Coffee, Bradford

The market for coffee shops does not seem to be drying up. New to the Yorkshire area is Esquires Coffee who have opened recently in Bradford, opposite the new Broadway shopping centre.

Founded in Canada in 1993 the chain has expanded rapidly over the last few years.

On my visit to the Bradford shop it was a busy Thursday lunchtime with a mix of shoppers and office workers. The first impression you get when you walk in is of a light, airy and clean environment. The see-through counters let you view the various cakes and sandwiches which are on offer. All looked very tempting.

Of course it is the coffee you visit these places for and I have to say I found my Latte very tasty, not too robust, as you would expect with a Latte but nevertheless a good cup of coffee, that tasted different from their competitors.

There are several long tables in the Bradford restaurant that can be used as a meeting place if you need to conduct some business. Another useful feature is the plug in wall sockets for your laptop that also have USB ports. The free Wi Fi was fast too. Some areas of the restaurant reminded me of a boutique hotel with its unique furnishings.

As well as the coffee on offer they have iced drinks and gluten free food, which is also a step up from their competitors.

Definitely worth trying if you feel a change from the normal coffee shop.
