80s Classical Returns To Leeds

80s Classical returns to its spiritual home, Millennium Square, Leeds on Friday 10 September with some of the most iconic songs of the 80s reworked into new orchestral versions and performed live by the original artists.

Featuring Jimmy Somerville, Nik Kershaw, Go West, Carol Decker (T’Pau) and John Parr, together with Opera North’s 60 piece orchestra it will be interesting to hear how these 80’s hits sound in a classical arrangement.

Hits include Don’t Leave Me This Way, Never Can Say Goodbye, Wouldn’t it be Good, I Won’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me, King of Wishful Thinking, We Close Our Eyes, China In Your Hand and St. Elmo’s Fire.

More 80s classics performed by the ensemble and backing vocalists include Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin, Toto’s Africa, The Jacksons’ Can You Feel It, amongst others.

Plus, Liverpool event DJ’s Sonic Yootha will also be returning for a second year to help get the party started in the lead up to the main performances and keep the crowd entertained during the interval.

Arranged and Conducted by Cliff Masterson, tickets are available from:
