A Taste Of Summer - Working With Brymor Ice Cream

It’s been a busy few weeks as usual here at the stables with Alfie; with it being very warm he has been enjoying the sunshine. The grass has grown loads since we had a very wet start to the month, so I’ve had to monitor Alfie’s food to make sure he doesn’t eat too much...

Talking of food we’ve started to work with Brymor Ice Cream. Brymor Ice cream parlour is situated at High Jervaulx Farm at Masham, and is a lovely place to visit on a hot summer’s day. They have a full range of ice cream to choose from and plenty of activities for the children to get involved with.

The Little Alf books are currently for sale inside the farm shop so it’s the perfect place to sit down with an ice cream and grab a book to read.

I’ve been working with Brymor for quite a while now and last month they asked me and Alfie to jump on board as ambassadors. It’s always been such a well loved brand to Yorkshire and I love ice cream so I thought why not and have had lots of fun tasting the flavours.

Over the past few weeks I have been working on the next little Alf book at home in the office, so during my breaks on the hot days I’ve been cracking open the ice cream. I personally love clotted cream and Cinderella. I’ve always preferred the plainer flavours but love mixing them together. I also love making ice cream milkshakes when the weather is hot.

Of course Alfie can’t eat any of the ice cream as they would make him poorly, but he doesn’t mind trying to lick the outside of the tub. I think he would have a lick of the ice cream if he could... I imagine he would love Brymor’s toffee apple flavour as he does love apples and if he could make his own flavour it would be a combination of carrots, apples and mints...
