Sara Nowell, Connecting Coastal Cultures Project Manager says:
“Coastal Ecologies is a great opportunity for artists or an artist collective to exhibit new or existing work at Woodend Gallery, Scarborough. We’re looking for applicants who have a strong awareness of the theme and who will be able to visually demonstrate the current challenges around changing ecological environments with a specific audience in mind.”

SMG and Crescent Arts share an interest in ecology, sustainability, the natural world, and aim to connect with audiences this changing culture through art. This commission aims to support an artist or artist collective with the opportunity to further explore an existing or develop a new body of work.
