Carnival Time In Cape Verde

Avoid Rio’s tourists next month by heading to São Vicente Carnival in Cape Verde.

Inspired by the carnivals of Brazil but without the crazy crowds, the event is held each year during the week leading up to Shrove Tuesday (22nd – 26th February 2020) when the streets come alive with colourful dance troupes, spectacular floats, and vibrant music.
