Celebration Of The Music Of George Michael Heading To The Yorkshire Coast In 2021
A show celebrating the music of George Michael is set to make two visits to The Yorkshire Coast next year.
Rob Lamberti, alongside former members of George Michael ‘s band will star in A Celebration of the Songs and Music of George Michael at both Scarborough Spa and Whitby Pavilion in 2021.
The theatrical concert experience will take audiences on a journey through George’s hit-laden repertoire, all the way from Wham classics such as ‘Wake Me Up Before You Go Go’ to his beloved solo career chart toppers such as ‘Careless Whisper’ and ‘Faith’ at Whitby Pavilion on Saturday 26 June 2021 before making a return visit later in the year to Scarborough Spa’s Grand Hall on Saturday 16 October 2021.
From the live final of ‘Stars in Their Eyes’ to being hired by George Michael himself to promote his 25Live album, Rob Lamberti is a star in his own right and featured on the BBC’s ‘Even Better Than the Real Thing’ in 2017.
Bearing a voice worthy of performing George’s remarkable catalogue of hits, he has gone on to establish a successful career playing homage to his hero.
Rob commented on his visits to The Yorkshire Coast:
“I have played many venues across the UK as a solo artist and I am so proud to be touring my very own show with full band in 2021.
I and all the band are super excited to be heading to the Yorkshire seaside with the show and just keeping our fingers crossed that the schedule allows us some time after the shows to get out and enjoy some of the sights.”
Jill Gomez-Mannion, Whitby Pavilion’s venue manager commented:
“This show is playing some huge venues including arenas next year and we are delighted to be bringing it to Whitby.”
Tickets for both shows are now on sale via the venue’s websites.
