The deadline to apply to be part of Top Tech Yorkshire 2026 has been extended to 14 November, giving high-potential tech firms in the region one additional week to make their submissions.
Developed by national law firm Mills & Reeve, Top Tech Yorkshire is a six-month programme designed to accelerate growth and innovation in the region's rapidly expanding tech sector. It connects promising tech businesses with a curated network of expert mentors, including investors, industry peers, accelerators, and specialist service providers.
Due to unprecedented demand for the programme, the organisers have extended the deadline until 14 November 2025 to ensure all interested businesses are able to submit their application in time. Submissions to the free programme can be made via a short online entry form.
Once applications close, the mentor panel will review submissions and select applicants demonstrating the greatest ability to utilise the programme and support on offer to take their business to the next level. Those successful will be notified in early December, before Top Tech Yorkshire officially kicks off in early 2026.
Alex Newman, partner at Mills & Reeve and one of the expert panel, said: "The response so far has been overwhelming and we don’t want anyone to miss the chance to get involved - so we’ve made the decision to offer an extra week for Yorkshire-based tech businesses to submit their interest.
“If you’re committed to growth, innovation, and regional collaboration, then the programme is designed for you. We've made a number of enhancements for the 2026 edition, with a comprehensive schedule of profile-raising activities, strategic networking opportunities, and tailored mentorship awaiting those that are selected."
Jason Crispin, founder of Leeds-based accessibility tech startup AUDITSU and 2025 participant, added: "Top Tech Yorkshire provided immediate value from day one. I was introduced to an angel investor at the very first event, and throughout the programme I gained invaluable advice. Our business has developed significantly since last year, and I'm keen to rejoin the 2026 programme as we enter a new phase with different challenges where that expert support and peer network will be invaluable again.”
