Free Events To Keep The Children Happy!

The Huddersfield Literature Festival (HLF) is planning some exciting, free, family events in September to engage children with storytelling and the spoken word.

A series of Story Walks for adults and children will take place on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 September at 11am and 2pm in the centre of Huddersfield – these free walks are organised by Kirklees Libraries.

The fun continues on Sunday 5 September at 10.30am and 2pm with a family Treasure Hunt led by The Rubious Harmonious Birds, courtesy of Frolicked Outdoor Theatre. This rare set of exotic birds have escaped captivity and taken a liking to their local habitat. The “Rubious Harmonious” has unmistakable plumage, a surprisingly trusting disposition and a repertoire of bird song not to be missed! The event is sponsored by well known Huddersfield recruitment company Stafflex.

For further details of both events go to www.huddlitfest.org.uk and keep an eye out for more Festival events during the Autumn.
