Children as young as 5 starting to doubt themselves and listening to their inner critic
Mental wellbeing free resource for primary schools created because of tsunami of anxiety created by pandemic
Simple mind hacks can be learnt to recognise and reverse negative emotions.

The theme for World Mental Health Day on Sunday 10th October is ‘making mental healthcare accessible to everyone’. However, WHO stresses this is about more than just advocacy, highlighting the responsibility we all have to ourselves and others to look out for our own mental and emotional wellness. Children as young as 51 starting to doubt themselves and listening to their inner critic which is why a free new resource for primary schools is being launched to help them reframe their thinking.

Entitled ‘I Can’t to I Can’, it provides 7-10-year-olds with the tools they need to overcome anxiety, build confidence and take control of their emotions. It has been created by RTT in response to the tsunami of anxiety Covid has created and features a specific set of mind hacks that can provide immediate help and support a child throughout their life if practised regularly.

RTT is a therapy that offers fast results through a combination of traditional psychotherapy alongside more modern therapeutic techniques such as deep relaxation, mindfulness, and hypnotherapy.

Commenting on ‘I Can’t to I Can’, therapist and Director of RTT Method said:
‘Over 5 days using the lesson plans and videos in the resource, a teacher can help children become mindful of their feelings and how to master them. It uses light touch RTT techniques including installing their inner cheerleader to help them overcome the inner critic whenever it puts in an appearance. Created by teachers and therapists, we wanted to offer ‘I Can’t to I Can’ as a free resource to help children deal with the challenges of the past few years’.

Schools sign up via https://method.rtt.com/i-cant-to-i-can-challenge/ and the resources will be made available on 20th October giving teachers the opportunity to review and plan over half term.
