Galway Invites ‘Bucket List’ Consideration!

Dubbed “Ireland’s most charming city” by the New York Times, Galway is extending a welcome to all and sundry this year as it prepares to host the Galway International Arts Festival (GIAF).

Renowned for curating extraordinary experiences, organisers are promising a exceptional multidisciplinary program between July 15 and July 28.

One of the key arts events on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way for over 45 years, GIAF is a premier annual celebration of the arts, presenting the best of Irish and international music, theatre, exhibitions, street art, talks and more.

Previous line ups have featured The Flaming Lips, Joni Mitchell, actor Cillian Murphy and artists Marina Abramovic or David Hockney.

The full programme for 2024 will be announced in May.

Galway is situated on the west coast of Ireland, directly on Ireland’s stunning coastal route, the Wild Atlantic Way.

Easily accessible from Dublin (a 2.5 hours drive) and Shannon Airports (a 1-hour drive), visitors can explore the city’s rich heritage, enjoy spectacular views of Galway Bay, soak up the scenery in Connemara, visit the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s favourite tourist attractions, or take a trip to the Aran Islands.

Mark your calendars now!
