Gino's Leeds Festive Party Menu

You might think that an Italian restaurant would not be able to incorporate Christmas food into their menu, that's what I thought until I discovered their new festive menu.

Available all day is the Festive Party Menu which offers 3 courses for £33.50 where it seems the Prosecco keeps flowing whenever your glass is empty.

Starters include Marsala Pear, Crisp Ham and Blue Cheese Salad, King Prawn Bruschetta or Calamari. When it's cold outside though something like the Ribollita soup is ideal, served piping hot with chunky vegetables cavolo nero and bean soup with a chunk of toasted ciabatta floating on top, it was very comforting on a cold winter's night

Mains include Turkey Escalopes and the not so seasonal Sea Bass, Crispy Duck or Gnocchi Margherita. I tried the 8oz Sirloin Steak that comes served with peppercorn sauce poured over it, worth the £3.00 supplement, it comes with roast potatoes and vegetables. Cooked to your preference the succulent and tasty steak was served piping hot too.

Desserts include Baileys Panna Cotta, Tiramisu, a cheese board and my preference the indulgent Chocolate Fondant stuffed with chock truffles and vanilla ice cream on the side. Hot and cold together in harmony on one plate, make sure you have enough room for it.

If you visit between 12pm and 4pm you might like the Festive Lunch Menu for £24.50, admittedly the menu isn't as extensive as the Festive Party Menu but for starters you can choose from Tomato Bruschetta, Calamari, Ribollita Soup or Parma Ham Bruschetta.

Mains include Sea Bass, Turkey Escalopes, Butternut Squash Risotto or Real Northern Italian Meatballs.

Desserts are limited to 3 options: Chocolate Fondant, Tiramisu or Ice cream.

It was extremely busy on our visit but the service was attentive, friendly and quick.
