Bio-D has launched its latest fragrance, Yorkshire Rhubarb The new fragrance is available in three products, and pays homage to Bio-D’s Yorkshire roots

Ethical cleaning manufacturer Bio-D has introduced a new fragrance to its range of environmentally friendly, vegan cleaning products.

Created in homage to the brand’s home county, Yorkshire Rhubarb is the ‘perfect blend of tangy and sweet aromas’ with the scent ‘transporting users to a glorious Yorkshire garden’.

The new scent is available as a Washing Up Liquid, Handwash and All Purpose Sanitiser, all of which are now available on the Bio-D website.

Lloyd Atkin, managing director at Bio-D, said:
“Yorkshire Rhubarb has been long in the making, so I’m chuffed its now available to our customers.

“When speaking to our shoppers, new fragrances are a regular request. Yorkshire is, and always has been, the home of Bio-D, so we wanted to honour our roots with a fragrance that delivers on cleaning power whilst also meeting customer demand.”

“All of our scents are created using natural essential oils, avoiding any synthetic fragrances.

“We pride ourselves on manufacturing ethical cleaning products that are as kind to the environment as they are effective, and all of the ingredients that have gone into each new product are 100% naturally derived.”

The new range is available in both consumer sizes and five litre refills, and is manufactured at Bio-D’s Hull factory using solar energy.

Bio-D has been creating cleaning products that don’t cost the Earth since 1989 and has recently secured a King’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development, underlining its environmental credentials.

Yorkshire is synonymous with rhubarb and is home to ‘The Rhubarb Triangle’ – a nine square mile area in West Yorkshire famous for producing forced rhubarb. The sweet vegetable thrives in cold, wet conditions, which makes Yorkshire the perfect growing environment!
