Important Information About Upcoming Strike Action

 
Strike action by members of drivers' union ASLEF has been announced at EMR on Saturday 3 February, forming part of a programme of industrial action affecting 18 train companies between Monday 29 January and Tuesday 6 February.

As a result, do not travel on Saturday 3 February – to confirm, East Midlands Railway will not operate services on any of its routes on this date.

An overtime ban will be in place between Saturday 29 January and Tuesday 6 February. There will be short notice cancellations and service alterations. EMR advise you to check the website for updates.

This strike action forms part of a programme of industrial action affecting 18 train companies between Monday 29 January and Tuesday 6 February. Other train operators will be affected by strike action on the following days:

Tuesday 30 January: Gatwick Express, Great Northern, South Western Railway (including Island Line), Southeastern, Southern and Thameslink.

Wednesday 31 January: Northern and TransPennine Express.

Friday 2 February: c2c, Greater Anglia (including Stansted Express) and LNER.

Saturday 3 February: Avanti West Coast, London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway.

Monday 5 February: Chiltern Railways, CrossCountry and Great Western Railway.

Please check your full journey before travelling, including first and last trains of the day, due to strike action impacting different train operators on different days.
