Inaugural Flights From LBA

Jet2.com has waved off its first flight to Chania in Crete from Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA), the first of three new routes it is celebrating out of the base over the next week.

The Bank Holiday flight marked the start of weekly Sunday services to the region from LBA between May and October. Chania is already proving popular with regional holidaymakers looking to enjoy the northwest coast of Crete, which opens up blue flag beaches and historic sights in resorts such as Rethymnon, Aghia Marina, Chania Town, Kalyves, Stalos and Kolymbari.

The launch of flights, and holidays by Jet2holidays, means the airline and tour operator now takes holidaymakers to eight Greek destinations across the Summer including Corfu, Crete (Chania), Crete (Heraklion), Halkidiki, Kefalonia, Kos, Rhodes and Zante.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will also launch inaugural flights to Izmir in Turkey tomorrow (May 8th) the company’s fourth Turkish destination in addition to Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman.

The weekly Wednesday services to Izmir operate until the end of October, providing access to popular family friendly resorts on the west coast of Turkey such as Kusadasi, Cesme, Ozdere and Seferihisar.

The third new destination, also launching tomorrow, is to Bourgas (Bulgaria) marking the start of two weekly flights (Wednesday and Saturday) that run until the end of September.
