International Day Of Happiness
Did you know that the 20th March is United Nations International Day of Happiness?
The theme for 2021 is Keep Calm. Stay Wise. Be Kind.
With the coronavirus pandemic we are all facing a global crisis together so we need to focus and find positive ways to look after each other and ourselves.
Life is so much better when we're together with friends and family as everyone wants to be happy and together we're happier, but with the pandemic and lockdown this has been very difficult and we have all had to resort to social media to stay in contact with each other.
The definition of Happiness:
Happiness can be either feeling or showing, meaning that happiness is not necessarily an internal or external experience, but can be both.
“This International Day of Happiness is more than just a fun celebration, it also reminds us all that the world is a better place when we connect with and care about the people around us”
- Dr Mark Williamson (March 2015)
Some Happiness quotes:
“People should find happiness in the little things, like family.” - Amanda Bynes
"Happiness depends upon ourselves." - Aristotle
“The greatest happiness you can have is knowing that you do not necessarily require happiness.” - William Saroyan
"Happiness is a direction, not a place." - Sydney J. Harris
“To be without some of the things you want is an indispensable part of happiness.” - Bertrand Russell
