The Leeds office of global property consultancy Knight Frank has brokered a significant office sale in Cleckheaton in West Yorkshire.
The 17,895 sq ft Woodland House, part of the Woodland Park development, has been sold by Parker and Parker Investments for £2m.
It has been acquired by KJA Group Chartered Accountants as their flagship offices.
The building is situated strategically within the M62 corridor, adjacent to Junction 26 and the intersection with the M606 Motorway. Low Moor station is 1.4 miles, and 4-minute drive from the property, and there are connections to Leeds, Manchester and other major UK cities. There is good on-site parking available.
Victoria Harris, associate with Knight Frank’s office agency department in Leeds, who advised Parker and Parker Investments, commented: “This is a significant deal, underlining that the out-of-town office agency and investment market in West Yorkshire is still active and resilient, despite challenging economic circumstances.
“There’s no doubt that well-located office buildings remain attractive investments, provided the price is right. Woodland House falls firmly into this category. It was very satisfying to complete this important transaction in conjunction with our client.”
Chris Parker of Parker and Parker Investments added: “We appointed the Leeds office of Knight Frank to handle this sale because of their excellent reputation and we are delighted that their experience and expertise has proved invaluable, helping us to find a buyer for our flagship building.”
Raza Effendi of KJA Group commented: “We are delighted to have acquired such a prestigious office building. Being located at Woodland House will enable us to better serve our growing client base in the region and beyond. We thank Knight Frank for their assistance in making the acquisition possible.”
The Leeds office of Carter Towler are the joint marketing agents for Woodland House and Bradford-based Mark Brearley and Company acted for KJA.
