The curtain is nearly closing on Kynren’s 2024 summer season with just two chances left to see the award-winning epic tale of England on Saturday 7th and 14th September.

Tickets are selling fast for the final two performances of the County Durham based spectacular, however, there are still a few spaces available across all seating categories within the 8,000-seater tribune, offering unbeatable views of the seven-and-a-half-acre outdoor stage.

Anna Warnecke, CEO of Kynren said:
“We have had a fantastic 2024 season so far! It’s so special to be a part of Kynren, working with our 1,000 strong cast and crew is always wonderful. I think audiences watching the final shows will sense the palpable atmosphere and pride between everyone involved as they celebrate another amazing year of Kynren, especially when the final two shows come to an end under the firework finale.”

Kynren tells the story of 2,000 years of English history. From Viking invasions and Boudicca’s battles against the Romans, to the Industrial Revolution and coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, guests will witness the spellbinding story and experience thrills, shocks, tears, laughs, goosebumps and gasps on a truly cinematic scale.

Visitors to the 2024 season of Kynren have used phrases like “worthy of the West End”, “beyond expectations” and “out of this world” to describe their time at the Bishop Auckland attraction.

This season’s guests have also been amongst the first to discover the new Viking Village pre-show entertainment. Visitors can now experience the sights, sounds and smells of a real Viking settlement. As the Vikings prepare for a raid, track through the vegetable patch, meet the village animals, practice a charge and battle cries with real warriors and visit the blacksmith’s forge to watch sparks fly.

Recently featured on BBC One’s The One Show, Kynren is a family-friendly production with food options catered to all ages. The final two shows on Saturday 7th and 14th September also have the earliest start time of the 2024 season at 7:30pm – making them perfect for youngsters with bedtimes to get back home for.

Tickets are available from £26 for adults and from £16 for under 18s. Children aged 3 and under are free when sat on an adult’s knee.
