Lytham Festival - Worth A Trip Over The Pennines

The Lytham Festival celebrated its 10th anniversary this July. Is it worth the trip over the Pennines to experience Lancashire's biggest musical festival though?

After visiting the festival for several years now and seeing the calibre of artists they are getting the answer has to be a definite yes.

This year over 5 days on Lytham Green the headline acts included Sheffield electro masters, The Human League, The Stereophonics, Kylie Minogue, Rod Stewart and on the last night, which is usually the classical music night, The Hollywood Proms with Michael Ball and Sheridan Smith.

Lytham Festival though is not just another pop festival, this is Lytham where the Festival is also part of the social calendar in the same league as Ladies Day at Royal Ascot, Tatton Park Flower Show or the Henley Royal Regatta.

There are VIP packages that include dining in the VIP marquee as well as general admission, though bear in mind that general admission is standing, unless of course you have VIP tickets then you can watch from the elevated marquee.

There is plenty of parking adjacent to the festival site too. Usually five day passes are available as well as individual tickets to each night. The calibre and range of artists is to try and appeal to as wide an audience as possible.

The aim is to welcome globally renowned musicians and artists to Lytham and in 2020 that theme will continue. The line up is usually announced in late November. If you sign up now you will be the first to hear about who will be appearing next year.
