New Rugby Shirts To Help Tackle Laws

Wharfedale’s Mini & Junior section are proudly seen wearing their new rugby shirts which have been kindly, and generously sponsored by the following People/Businesses:

You will notice the white band across the shirt which is designed with the new tackle height laws in mind, as an aid to players, coaches and referees as to what is the maximum legal height of the tackle. All tackles should be below the white band. These shirts will also give the parents more confidence knowing that we are trying to make the game of rugby safer. This idea came years ago from the late Michael Harrison (Clarty) and has finally been put to use in the M&J Section.
