Pen Casting Call For Feature Film With BAFTA Award-Winning Director

Des Hamilton Casting, is a BAFTA-winning casting company for film and TV and credits include the Oscar-winning feature Jojo Rabbit and the Netflix series Top Boy.

The company is currently working on an upcoming feature-film which is projected to shoot in Sheffield at the start of 2024. The feature-film will be written and directed by multi BAFTA award-winning director, Shane Meadows (This is England, Dead Man's Shoes, The Virtues) and will look at the experiences of people who have struggled gaining citizenship in the UK.

Des Hamilton Casting is keen to hear from people who have migrated to the UK or from individuals who have sought asylum and been granted refugee status. The stories and characters will be built around real people and their experiences. Their voices will be centred and celebrated. We would love to hear from anyone who has never acted before but would be interested in being considered for a role in the film, and wondered whether you might be open to doing a short feature/write up about it so that your readers are aware of the opportunity?
